Meet the team: Rikki Foulkes – Kingfisher production, warehouse and group H & S Manager

How long have you worked for Kingfisher? I have worked for the Building Product Design group for 10 years and around 6 years of that has been Kingfisher based.

What is your role in the Kingfisher team? Managing Kingfisher’s production department. Overseeing current orders in production. Keeping an eye on new orders and upcoming business and making sure these are planned into production at the right time and deadlines are kept. Basically, bossing the guys around 🙂

What do you enjoy about your role? I love the variety of work. Each job is different in its own right and I enjoy working with the whole team. We have a very good working atmosphere which makes it a fun place to work.

What is your favourite film and why? It depends on the mood – I like an emotional film like Saving Private Ryan, but my wife cries at this type of film so I don’t watch as many as I would like. I also love a comedy so let’s go with Step Brothers or Ace Ventura.

I can’t get through the week without… Nice and easy this one – watching some kind of football.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Oddly it wasn’t being a footballer but a football manager or football TV pundit. Who wouldn’t want to be paid to talk about football all the time?

Who would your ideal dinner party guests be (Dead or alive)? Alan Shearer, Hulk Hogan and Elton John. How cool would that be?

What TV show are you currently binge-watching? Criminal Minds.

Are you a morning person or a night owl? Haha I am grumpy with both. I do like the middle part of the day though.

Have you ever met anyone famous? The most famous was the Queen, plus a few footballers and music stars along the way, but not loads.

Staycation or exotic holiday? I used to love staycations but over the last few years I have enjoyed exotic holidays more, such as my recent honeymoon to Mexico.

Favourite food? I love Indian Food.

Favourite drink? Fanta Lemon or an ice cold lager.

What three things would you take to a desert island and why? A tent so I didn’t have to build a shelter, a canoe so I could get out to sea for fishing for food and a box of matches. Makes me sound more practical that I actually am.
