What's New
MARCH 10 - FRAMED!
A
new, modular design of weather louvres is giving specifiers a simple way to help
accelerate the build process, enhance aesthetics and ensure appropriate levels
of ventilation in any commercial environment.
Kingfisher Louvre Systems, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and
suppliers of aluminium weather, ventilation and solar shading solutions for
the construction industry, is producing its range of robust yet discreet framed
weather louvres to provide a cost-effective solution for extract and intake
air, that can be quickly and easily incorporated into the building as and where
required, inside or out.
Each frame of louvres is specifically designed with the 45° blades set
at 30mm pitch, thus achieving a 98.6% rejection of rain (Class B/ BS EN 13030:
2002), yet achieve an airflow discharge coefficient of Cd0.3.
The louvres comprise a choice of integral surrounding flanges for wall-mounted
fixing, or a recessed version which enables multiple panels to be used together.
For optimum flexibility, Kingfisher can supply the units in sizes from 300mm
x 300mm up to 2000mm x 1500mm.To further optimize aesthetics, both versions
are available in mill finish, satin anodized or powder coated to the full range
of RAL colours.
Explains David Black, Kingfisher product manager, “Construction/ on-site
time becomes increasingly under pressure, as clients want the building operational
as soon as possible, solutions such as framed louvres are growing in popularity,
as they help meet any relevant regulations, can be quickly and easily fixed
compared to bespoke louvre systems, and still make play a role in the finished
aesthetics, be it as an architectural feature, or discreetly blending in with
the overall finish.”
The framed weather louvres are just part of the range of architectural aluminium
louvre solutions manufactured by Kingfisher Louvres Systems, which includes
ventilation, weather protection and visual screening systems. Kingfisher, part
of the Building Product Design Group, invests in a continuous programme of
research and development, to bring to market innovative yet practical solutions
to changing industry requirements.
